✞ 1 Corinthians 15:33 ✞

Updated: Aug 12, 2020

Greetings everyone,

No matter what time zone you are in - I hope your day has been well or will be well. Thank you for joining this post and reading the daily Bible verse chosen for today's topic.

It is our job as people, especially if we are disciples of Christ, to surround ourselves with good company. This is not to say we would shun others or reject teaching God's word to lost souls. In our daily lives, we need those that lift us up in spirit and serve to strengthen unity within our people and within our faith. I once heard a great analogy that is a perfect match for this verse.

Lets say your circle of family and friends is a roaring fire of positivity and saved souls, imagine each one of you individuals is a hot ember that contributes to the blazing fire.

When one person removes

themselves from the fire, they are still a burning ember, but without the heat of all the others, their warmth starts to fade out... Until they are nothing but smoke.

When we remove ourselves from good influences and Christ-like people, we run the risk of burning out our faith. The same is true if we try to join a different circle of those who go against God's word. They are a ring of smoke in stead of a roaring fire.

Let us gather in prayer,

Dear Lord, today we pray we hold close to the good influences around us, those that know you and know your heart. We pray others can come forth and join our blazing fires of faith so they too, may be apart of a community and be saved by your grace. Amen.

Bless you all,

Hillary White
