This humble Sunday I would like us all to take a moment to reflect on Bible verse John 14:27 (NIV), "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
A verse packed full of so much reassurance... in trying times when it is easy to succumb to fear, we must stay strong and unafraid. "Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." At times it may seem there is much negative happening in the world and it is so very easy to get lost in it. Let us focus on what God has offered to us; salvation, love, patience, an eternity.
I ask those of you joining me on this post today gather in prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father,
For those of us in fear today, I pray you ease our hearts and help us to lean on you. Let us not weaken our faith by falling prey to the fears of the world - instead we pray you hold us close to you. Please allow us to ease others by sharing your word and your love. Amen.
Have a blessed Sunday,
